I have the 1982 "Original Mono Record" red wax set. There was also a 30th anniversary set of beatles LPs issued in Japan with special OBI's, but these were black vinyl. Their serial numbers start with TOJP. I have 14 different Beatles first pressing Japanese red vinyl LPs, some on Apple and some on Odeon, but none are in mono.

Brooklyn,NY. I only bought three of 2014 mono's: "Revolver", " Sgt Pepper" and "White Album" just because the original UK copies of these albums in my collection are not better than VG shape. Still not planning to get rid of them, they still playable besides, they still have a certain "collector's value" as pieces of history, for me anyway.
By 1968, mono was being phased out, so the mono copies of the White Album were in much less quantity than the stereo ones, and fetch major amounts of money nowadays. In Germany, the switch to exclusively stereo happened already in 1964, after A Hard Day's Night. In France however, all Beatles pre-1966 albums were mono only.

There were three separate pressings of the numbered UK stereo White Album: 1968: original top-loader with 7-digit serial number (same as original mono) Late 1969: first reissue, side-opening with 7-digit serial number. 1970/71: second reissue, side-opening with 6-digit serial number.
