How aiming is supposed to work in GTA Vice City? I have Mac version, no problems with mouse as reported by others: crosshair moves smoothly and precisely, no noticeable vertical/horizontal sensitivity difference. But how to aim? This however doesn't require a little work and by releasing it with PC controls via keyboard and mouse they had to make changes to make keyboard and mouse work from the original release. It it unacceptable to not bring it back to the base control settings. Basic control pads with 2 sticks should work OOTB with no configuration.
I'm on Windows 7, and my version of VC is the latest one from Steam. Chrck your mouse sensitivity from windows settings. That's got nothing to do with it. The vertical sensitivity (y-axis) is completely out of sync with horizontal (x), and the in-game setting only affects the horizontal sensitivity - it doesn't even touch the vertical one.
The gamepad support leaves a lot to be desired; I know GTA3 had the axises backwards on my PS2 controller, while SA wouldn't let you bind the D-pad so you couldn't mimic the PS2 control scheme on it. Luckily with SA there's a program called SAAC that'll let you fix its control issues, but you need to downgrade to v1.0.
